1. Scope and our roles

This Privacy Policy applies to this website, sales and support communications, account and billing records, and hosting services supplied by SkinsIndia Solutions under the ShivHost name.

For account, billing, security, and website-visitor information that we decide how to use, SkinsIndia Solutions acts as the data fiduciary or controller. For content and personal data that a customer places in a hosted website, application, database, or virtual server, the customer normally decides the purpose and means of processing, and we act as a processor or service provider within the agreed service boundary.

Customers are responsible for giving their own users appropriate notices and having a valid basis for the content and personal data they host.

2. Information we handle

Information you provide

• Name, business name, email address, telephone number, billing address, and tax information.
• Order details, workload requirements, domain names, service preferences, and migration information.
• Support messages, instructions, and files you choose to share for diagnosis or service delivery.
• Account and authentication information when an account feature is made available.

Information generated through use

• IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, and basic security logs.
• Service identifiers, resource use, operational events, abuse signals, and support history.
• Invoice status and payment references. Payment providers may collect payment credentials directly; we do not need to store full card details.

Customer content

Depending on the service, customer content may include website files, databases, logs, email configuration, backups, and information submitted by the customer’s users. The exact categories depend on the customer’s workload.

3. How information is used

• To answer enquiries, assess a workload, provide quotations, and create an order.
• To provision, operate, secure, support, troubleshoot, bill, suspend, and close services.
• To authenticate users, prevent fraud and abuse, investigate security events, and enforce our agreements.
• To meet accounting, tax, legal, regulatory, and dispute-resolution obligations.
• To improve service reliability and understand use of our public website.
• To send service and transactional communications. Marketing messages will include a reasonable way to opt out where required.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use customer content for unrelated advertising.

4. Sharing and service providers

We may share the minimum necessary information with infrastructure, domain, certificate, security, monitoring, support, communications, billing, professional-adviser, and payment providers that help deliver the service. The providers used may vary by the service ordered.

We may also disclose information when required by applicable law, a valid legal process, or to protect customers, the public, our rights, or service security. If the business or relevant assets are reorganised or transferred, information may move with them subject to appropriate confidentiality and this Policy.

Service location and any cross-border processing restrictions are order-specific. We will not represent that all data stays in a particular country unless that commitment appears in the applicable order or data-processing terms.

5. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, keep required business and tax records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security. Retention differs by record type and legal obligation. Customer content is deleted or returned according to the order, termination process, backup cycle, and applicable law.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards appropriate to the service. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure. Customers must protect credentials, apply required software updates within their responsibility, limit access, and notify us promptly of suspected compromise.

6. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law and identity verification, you may ask to access, correct, update, or delete personal information; withdraw consent where consent is the basis; object to or restrict certain processing; or raise a grievance. Some records must be retained for legal, security, accounting, or contractual reasons.

7. Contact, children, and policy changes

Our services are intended for adults and organisations. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly create hosting accounts for anyone under 18.

We may update this Policy when our services, providers, or legal obligations change. The updated date will appear at the top. Material changes will be communicated through a reasonable channel when required.
